Robroy Industries, Inc. has prepared this privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”), to provide individuals registering for our livestream presentations through Microsoft Teams with important information about the collection, use, transfer and other processing of personal data submitted when registering for our livestreams.
Please note, you are registering for a livestream presentation held by Robroy Industries, Inc. and/or our affiliates (“Robroy”, “we” and/or “our”) on the Microsoft Teams platform operated by Microsoft Corporation, 1 Microsoft Way Redmond, WA 98052, USA (“Microsoft”).
Please consult Microsoft's own privacy policy (https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement) for important information about how they collect and process personal information about you when you access their website to register for one of our presentations. Robroy and Microsoft are not affiliated parties and Robroy has no control over, or responsibility for, Microsoft's data privacy practices.
In this Privacy Policy, you will find information about how and why Robroy processes personal data shared with us by Microsoft about registrants for our livestream presentations, and with whom Robroy may share such information.
In this Privacy Policy, we also describe the processes by which you may contact us in order to exercise your rights, in accordance with applicable law, to: (1) access, correct, restrict, or delete your personal data; (2) object to the processing of certain aspects of your personal data; and (3) ask any questions you may have about our privacy practices.
This Privacy Policy may be updated and/or otherwise revised periodically to reflect changes in our data processing practices and/or policies. We will post notices of all such changes on our applicable websites and/or materials and the “Effective Date” noted above will indicate when this Privacy Policy was most recently revised. Except as may be otherwise required under applicable law, revisions to this Privacy Policy will be effective on the Effective Date noted without any other notice or approval by you. In certain jurisdictions, applicable law may require additional processes and procedures, in which case, revisions to this Privacy Policy will not be effective until we have met our obligations accordingly.

2. How We Obtain Personal Data Covered by this Privacy Policy – When you register for access to a Robroy livestream event through the Microsoft Teams Platform, Microsoft shares your registration information with us.
3. Registrant Information
The information shared with us by Microsoft includes the personal information that you elect to submit when you access and complete the registration form on the Microsoft Teams Platform, including without limitation your name, your company, your job title, and your email address (collectively, the “Personal Information”).
4. How We Use Your Personal Information – We do not sell your Personal Information to third-parties. We do not share or transfer your Personal Information for targeted advertising.
a. Event Registration – We will use your Personal Information for reasons you submitted the information: (i) in order to process your registration to attend our livestream presentation; (ii) to send you reminders, instructions, and other communications about the livestream presentation; and (iii) to administer access to, and/or participation in, the livestream event.
b. Feedback – Subject always to your opt-out and other rights in your Personal Information as set forth below, we reserve the right to use your Personal Information to better understand your access to, and/or participation in, the livestream presentation, and to send you surveys and otherwise request your feedback about the livestream presentation.
c. System Security and Data Privacy Protection – We monitor information on user activity within our system in order to protect the security of our systems and the privacy of our customers, for example, as an investigatory tool in case of a dispute or an unauthorized hack. Such information includes information reported by your browser, IP addresses, User Agent, account activity and usage levels to better assist with service delivery and/or security.
d. Compliance with Legal Obligations - In addition to processing Personal Information for the purposes of as described above, we process Personal Information described hereunder to comply with our own legal and regulatory obligations.
e. Legitimate Interests - We may also use Personal Information collected hereunder in connection with the operation of the livestream presentations. The types of processing/uses contemplated hereunder may include, without limitation, for our own administrative and business needs, audits and self-assessments for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, court order, law enforcement order, and applicable workplace policies, and for information technology purposes including without limitation trouble shooting, business continuity, disaster recover, data backup and recovery.
5. Data Retention – Subject to your rights in Section 8 below, we generally retain the Personal Information hereunder for the periods specified applicable law, regulation, and/or court order, and in our document retention/filing polices. We may also retain Personal Information for longer periods where there is a reasonable basis for retaining such data, including without limitation in connection with the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
6. Exigent Circumstances - In addition to the disclosures set forth herein, we will disclose Personal Information about you: (1) if we are required to do so by law or legal process, (2) to law enforcement authorities, judiciary or other government officials, (3) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity; or (4) if necessary to protect the vital interests of any person.
7. Jurisdiction.
a. Robroy Processes Personal Information in the United States – Robroy processes Personal Information as described above in our home country, the United States of America. Robroy does not represent or warrant that registration for our livestream presentations is suitable for access or use outside of our territory and visitors registering for our livestream presentations, and accessing such presentations, from outside of our territory do so at their own risk.
8. Your Rights and Options – You may exercise your rights as described below by sending an e-mail using the contact information set forth above, provided, such e-mail includes information sufficient to enable us to identify the consumer rights you are seeking to exercise and the Personal Information to which your request applies. When contacting us: (a) please provide enough information to identify yourself (e.g. your full name and email address) and any additional identity information we may reasonably request from you; and (b) let us know which right(s) you want to exercise and the information to which your request relates Upon receipt of any such consumer request, where required and/or permitted, we shall promptly take steps to determine whether the request is a verifiable consumer request in accordance with applicable law. Unless otherwise provided under applicable law, we require that any consumer request received MUST be verifiable. Except where otherwise required under applicable law, no information will be released or changed until the requestor is verified to be the owner of the data in question. Upon verifying the consumer request, we will respond to such request in accordance with the requirements under applicable law, or where no such applicable law exists, in a commercially reasonable manner.
a. Revocation of your consent to the processing of data
To the extent our processing of your Personal Information is based on your express consent, you can revoke at any time any consent you have previously given to us. To do so, all you are required to do is sent us an informal notification via email to the email address first set forth above; provided such email includes information sufficient to enable us to identify the consent you are revoking and the Personal Information to which such consent applies. This shall be without prejudice to the lawfulness of any data collection that occurred prior to your revocation. You may also object to processing that is described above as being based on our legitimate interests alone. In such instances, our business interests must be found to be compelling and to not jeopardize your individual rights before further processing may continue.
b. Informational Rights – The right to know / the right to access
You may request information from us regarding the Personal Information that is identifiable to you as well as the manner in which we share certain categories of your Personal Information with third parties, for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes, if any. You may submit a request to us and receive the following information:
- the categories of personal information we collect about you;
- the categories of sources from which such personal information is collected;
- the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling or sharing personal information (as may be applicable);
- categories of third parties to whom we disclose personal information (including categories of personal information and third parties to whom personal information is shared for a business purpose);
- categories of personal information that we sold or shared about you (if any), the categories of third parties to whom the personal information was sold or shared (if any); and
- any specific pieces of personal information that we collect about you.

c. Correct/Update/Removal/Deletion
You may instruct us to change, modify, delete, and/or remove Personal Information previously provided by sending an e-mail using the contact information set forth above to make such a request. In the event that we maintain inaccurate Personal Information about you, you have the right to request that we correct that inaccurate Personal Information.
d. Right to Opt-out of Sale or Sharing of Your Personal Information and/or Use of Your Personal Information for Targeted Advertising.
You have the right to direct us not to sell or share your personal information to or with third parties, and/or otherwise use your personal information for targeted advertising.
As described above:
(i) we do not sell your Personal Information; and
(ii) we do not share your Personal Information, as that term is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (the “CCPA”).
In general, you may submit opt-out requests under this subsection to Robroy by sending an e-mail using the contact information above.
e. The right not to be discriminated or retaliated against.
Where a US User exercises your rights to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, provided for in Section 2 of this United States Supplement above, to the extent that we sell or share your personal information, we cannot discriminate or retaliate against you for choosing to exercise such rights, including by:
- denying goods or services to You;
- charging different prices or rates for goods or services, including the use of discounts or other benefits or imposing penalties;
- providing a different level or quality of goods or services to You;
- suggesting that You will receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.
f. Sensitive Personal Information. We do not collect sensitive Personal Information under this Privacy Policy.
g. Verification
In order to meet our obligations under applicable law, we may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to demands as set forth in this Section 8.
9. Complaints, Concerns, Recourse - If you have unresolved concerns about the processing of your Personal Information, you may have the right to complain to a governmental agency where you reside, where you work or where you believe there has been an infringement of data protection laws, all in accordance with, and subject to, applicable local law.
You also generally have the right to lodge a complaint, with your state’s Attorney General and some states may have specific divisions within the Attorney General’s offices or specific agencies responsible for data privacy, e.g., the California Privacy Protection Agency in California.
Without limiting the forgoing, to comply with applicable law, we hereby notify residents of Colorado and Virginia that they may lodge complaints about the outcome of our internal complaints and appeals process as follows:

10. Security - We use commercially reasonable efforts to meet industry standards to safeguard the confidentiality of your personally information. Unfortunately, it is impossible to absolutely guarantee the security of data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network. Therefore, although we take such commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot ensure the security of any information you transmit to us or from online services and you do so at your own risk.
11. “Do Not Track” and Browser Based Opt-Out Signals - This Privacy Policy addresses Personal Information that is collected via the Microsoft Teams Platform. Robroy does not operate or control the Microsoft Teams Platform and you should review Microsoft’s policies to determine how their website is configured to respond to Do Not Track (DNT) or other browser based opt-out signals that you may set in your internet browser.
12. Children Under the Age of 13
Our livestream presentations are intended to be business to business offerings and are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data related to children. If you are under 13 years of age, you must not register or access our livestream presentations as they are not intended, nor are the designed for, users under 13 years of age. We do not intend to collect the information of anyone under 13. If you are aware that any information of anyone under 13 has been shared with the us, please let us know so that we can delete that data.
We do not target any of our offerings or services to any person under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. However, if you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information under this privacy policy, please contact us.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from anyone under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to remove such Personal Information from our systems and servers.
